Farmhouse

The Farmhouse is an old home with a lot of history! The main house was built in the early 1800’s. This house was originally the dormitory for the teachers who came from town to teach in the Locust Branch School. Later we heard it was an inn and Ulysses S. Grant stayed here during the Civil War. More recent owners have updated the house and put on several additions while still maintaining some of the early features. There are hand-hewn beams throughout the house and the original stone fireplace. The house has all the amenities needed to make it a very enjoyable stay for your family. The house has 3 bedrooms and sleeps eat. The kitchen table is big enough for ten. The Farmhouse is great for a large family or for a couple of families vacationing together. The Farmhouse is in the middle of the farm so there are lots of animals nearby.
